Honestly, I think that most ages would play with it, but I'm not sure how long it would hold a 3 year old's attention. I think that it's a toy better introduced at a younger age so that they can grow with it.

I recently retrieved this from our attic for my 11 month old and my 3 year old is playing with it again but it only holds his attention for a short period of time unlike when he was younger. It seems like a pricey choice to purchase it for an older child.

Probably not developmentally appropriate for a 3yo. They might enjoy it for a small amount of time, but it is really meant for younger children (12-18mos)

I would not recommend this for a three year old. My two year old no longer plays with it as intended and tries to use it to climb things instead. If your child enjoys these types of activity tables, I would suggest looking for one that is a larger size.

I agree with the folks here. Three is a little old for it, we still use ours at 2.5 but only occasionally and only to practice her letters. You can find something that requires more imagination for a three year old.
