- Why should I login through Facebook?

When you search strollers on Amazon, you get 34,771 results. But if you're logged in to weeSpring through your Facebook account, instead of getting a zillion strollers, you’ll see the four strollers that are most popular with your friends, and why.

Connect your Facebook to weeSpring!

While you can log in to weeSpring without a Facebook account, you won't be able to see your friends' reviews. So be sure to connect your Facebook account to get the most out of weeSpring!

- How is using weeSpring different than just asking my friends what to do?

Our mission is to make product recommendations from your friends as accessible as Amazon reviews.

We’ve all gotten helpful parenting advice via Facebook or email, but it’s virtually impossible to organize. So we built weeSpring as a platform where you can aggregate the tried-and-true advice from your friends and then easily share it with others. Bonus: it also saves any non-parent friends from cluttering their feed with baby-related questions.

- How should I use Have It, Want It and weeList?

Wherever a product appears, you’ll find three icons: the checkmark, the pushpin and the list.

I have this baby product!

Click the checkmark if you Have It, then add an optional “love” or “regret.” Love the products that worked for you and regret the ones that fell short. If you're undecided, indifferent or just lukewarm, then neutral is the rating for you!

I want this baby product!

Click the pushpin if you Want It...or need it... or just want to save it to remember later. The want list is a great place to bookmark the things you're considering or need to buy in the future. You can even share your want list with friends and have them help you decide.

I want to add this baby product to my list!

Click the list to add to a weeList.

You can view all the products you've rated on your profile page. From there, you can filter and sort your products and share your lists with friends and family.

To remove a have or want rating, click the orange checkmark/pushpin again. To remove a product from a weeList, click the list icon and uncheck that list from the dropdown menu.

- What is a weeList?

weeLists help you find and share recommendations that answer all of the big questions parents have:

  • What do I need for a newborn? (Newborn Necessities)
  • What do I do when my little one is teething? (Teething Time)
  • What do I need when our baby starts solids? (Starting Solids)
  • How can I make bath time fun and safe? (Bathtime Essentials)

...and so on!

Go your profile to view all your weeLists in one place. From there, you will be able to filter and sort all your products and share your lists with friends and family via email or Facebook.

- I'm expecting. What if I don't have any opinions yet?

While you're gathering intel from your friends about the necessities, you can mark the products you already "have" and save anything you still need as products you "want."

Still need help deciding what to get? Invite your friends with kids to join you on weeSpring and weigh in on the products they have. The more friends you have in the community, the more valuable weeSpring will be as a resource to you.

- I don't have that many friends on weeSpring yet... what should I do?

Invite them! Encourage your friends with kids to share their "must-haves" and "don't-buys" on weeSpring to help you out. But if you're looking for advice – and your network isn't full of parents yet– you can browse our Featured Parents in the Explore Parents page to see what other parents found most useful. Soon, you'll be able to filter the reviews and discover parents that are most like you.

- What is following?

Following someone on weeSpring means that when you are looking at a product, you’ll see that person’s reviews first. Anyone can follow you, and you can choose to follow them back (or not!). Not to worry though: your last name is only visible to people in your Facebook network. To everyone else, even people following you, you’re just first name, last initial.

When you connect via Facebook, you’ll automatically follow your Facebook friends, and vice versa. To see everyone you follow, click on the “Friends" link under your username. You can unfollow anyone (even your Facebook friends) at any time.

- Who should I follow?

Follow anyone whose recommendations you trust! This could be your college roommate, your sister-in-law, your cubicle mate, a blogger (like Pregnant Chicken) or an expert (like the Car Seat Lady). You can search for your friends on the Explore Parents page or browse our Featured Parents, as they’ve shared tons of product advice.

To get you started, you will automatically be following members of our team: Melissa, Ally, Jack and Angie. You can unfollow us at any time. We won’t take it personally!

- What are followers?

Followers are people who have chosen to see your reviews first anywhere we display reviews. The followers tab on the Explore Parents page will show you how many followers you have and who they are.

- How do I unfollow someone?

It’s easy! You can stop following a user at anytime in one of three places:

  1. You can navigate to that user’s profile page and click on the grey “Unfollow” button underneath their profile picture.
  2. From your own profile page, select the “Friends” tab. Click the grey “Unfollow” button next to the user’s name.
  3. From the Explore Parents page, select the “Friends” tab. Click the grey “Unfollow” button next to the user’s name.
Any time you click a grey “Unfollow” button, the button will change to an orange “Follow” button to indicate that you have successfully unfollowed them. The user will not be notified when you unfollow them.

- What is a "featured parent" and how do I become one?

Featured parents are regular people like us who have shared insightful, original, and/or funny reviews on baby products they love (or regret)! You can recognize Featured Parents by the orange and white star badge on their profile picture, and soon you will be able to “follow” them to see the lists and products they're recommending. To become a Featured Parent, share your rating on 50 or more products, then drop us a line to let us know you're interested. We'd be thrilled to have you on board!

- I don’t see the product I’m looking for. What do I do?

Every product on weeSpring has been added and reviewed by at least one user. Any product can be added at any time by using our Suggest a Product link or by clicking on the same link on the top right navigation bar.

- What is weeRank?

weeRank is a real-time ranking system that factors in popularity and the percentage of people who love or regret an item.

- I’m not ready for anyone to know I’m pregnant yet. How will you keep my profile secret?

Anywhere your name and profile picture would appear will be replaced by a default user icon and the name "Secretly Expecting." So If someone should go to your profile, this is what they would see:

Connect your Facebook to weeSpring!

Similarly, if you rate a product, this is how your rating would appear under a product.

Your profile will also be hidden from your Facebook friends in the “Friends on weeSpring” section of on the signup page and from any product page where you also have a rating.
